Crystal Lyons of College of Menominee Nation
Crystal Lyons, a proud graduate of the College of Menominee Nation (CMN), is taking her career to new heights. Having earned both welding and electricity degrees at CMN, she combined technical skill with determination to pursue opportunities that would make a lasting impact. Her commitment to growth and innovation led her to the Bridging Renewable Industry Divides in Gender Equality (BRIDGE) program offered by Red Cloud Renewable. Funded through a Department of Education grant, the BRIDGE program was created to empower Native American women by equipping them with the training and certifications needed to succeed in renewable energy careers. Crystal joined the program’s first cohort, a groundbreaking class of 13 women who not only built their skills but also earned solar installer certifications. Through this experience, Crystal strengthened her expertise and positioned herself as a trailblazer in a field where Native women are still underrepresented. With her education, certifications, and drive, Crystal is well on her way to becoming a leader in the renewable energy industry.
