Jenna Brave Bull of Sitting Bull College

Jenna Brave BullJenna Brave Bull is an enrolled member of the Stranding Rock Sioux Tribe. She began her college journey in 2011 at Bismarck State College. Like many of our students, she chose to pause her studies to care for her grandmother when she entered hospice. Jenna returned to higher education in the fall of 2022, enrolling at Sitting Bull College in the Associate of Science in Practical Nursing Program.

Throughout the program, Jenna gained hands-on clinical experience in both rural and urban healthcare settings. During her final semester, she secured an internship with Sanford Dialysis in Fort Yates, North Dakota. After successfully passing the NCLEX-PN in May, she was offered a position with Sanford.

Jenna has since returned to college to pursue her Associate of Science in nursing to become a registered nurse. Her pathway reflects the experiences of many students—both nursing and non-nursing—who participate in capstone and internship opportunities across programs such as nursing, business, trades, criminal justice, information technology, and education. These experiences allow students to work alongside industry professionals and transition into the next generation of the workforce.
