Little Spirits Falling From the Sky  

It’s snowing and little spirits are falling down onto our big Earth.

They come from places and worlds far,

far away in the shape of crafted magic.

Bearing the gift of water to offer the Earth,

The little spirits pile one atop the other,

patiently waiting for their turn to collide with our big Earth.

While they wait, they look around at the world.

The trees, the people, the stars.

Eventually the snow melts—

they are swallowed by the Earth.

These little spirits forming their connection to the Earth.

Once they are consumed by our big Earth,

each little spirit is on a different path.

Intrinsically connected to all things, trees, people, and stars.

One little spirit may grow into a flower,

another little spirit may grow into an ant,

another little spirit may grow into a vegetable,

eaten by a human and transformed into a child.

Each little spirit came falling down onto this big Earth

to form a relationship to this physical world.

Acknowledge these little spirits,

welcome them.
