Submission Guidelines

At this time, TCJ Student accepts writing, artwork, and photography via our online Submit page. TCJ accepts written submissions of fewer than 1,000 words which fall in the categories of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction.  Please submit your artwork and photography as a jpeg or tif file with a resolution that is high enough to ensure a quality presentation. Typically this means that the ppi or dpi should be at least 200, or that the file size is 2MB. For questions, please contact us.

Terms and Conditions

Tribal College Journal may edit or abridge submitted work at its discretion and as deemed fit to meet style and length requirements. TCJ may reject any submission at its discretion. Copyrighted material is likewise unacceptable for publication, including artwork or writing that features patented material such as superheroes, television, movie, and video game figures, or any other licensed product.

By submitting your work, you give TCJ non-exclusive rights to publish it in any format, including all print and digital media. You retain the right to submit your work for non-exclusive publication elsewhere. Submission indicates that the author/artist certifies that this writing/artwork is original.

Please upload ONLY art and writing entries here. If you are submitting a film for consideration, please upload it to a service like YouTube, Vimeo, or Dropbox and send the link to TCJ along with the password to access it if you choose to make it protected.
